Star Spangled Dance Academy started in 2003 by Emily Steffensen in Brookings, SD. Over the years there have been satellite programs in Clear Lake, Flandreau, Lake Preston, Madison, Tyler, Flandreau, Estelline, and others. In 2009 SSDA opened their location in Sioux Falls. After a successful year in Sioux Falls, SSDA is now moving into our brand new location at the "Star Performance Copmlex".

Emily Steffensen, Owner/Choreographer/Dance Instructor
Emily grew up in Ankeny, IA with a love of dance. She has danced for 27 years and taught for 12 years. Emily has many years of training in ballet, tap, jazz, pointe, hip hop, & lyrical. She did most of her training at Moore School of Dance in Ankeny. There she was on the competition team for 6 years. Emily has attended dance conventions, dance workshops, performed with the Robert Thomas Nutcracker,  and has taken classes at Ballet Iowa.

After high school Emily received a bachelor's degree in Business Management with a concentration in Early Childhood. Emily has led many dance teams to national dance championships over the years. Her love of dance and children continues as she teaches at SSDA.

 

Add your child's minutes up of classes taken at Star Performance Complex (Dance, Gymnastics & Taekwondo). That is your child's monthly tuition. Each child's minutes are added separately.
